Putin, Schroeder to Discuss Russian-EU Relations, Iraq
Under an understanding with the German chancellor President Vladimir Putin will have a working meeting with Gerhard Schroeder on Thursday, Putin's senior aide Sergei Prikhodko has told reporters.
Under an understanding with the German chancellor President Vladimir Putin will have a working meeting with Gerhard Schroeder on Thursday, Putin's senior aide Sergei Prikhodko has told reporters.
He said the meeting will be held at Berlin airport and in addition to bilateral relations focus on ties between Russia and the EU, the problem of Kaliningrad region, Russia-NATO relations and the situation in and around Iraq.
Prikhodko said the two leaders will also share opinions on the issues Putin will going to raise at his meeting with President George W. Bush at the APEC session in Mexico.
Putin and Schroeder will also mull the schedule of their meetings and contacts for next year.
Putin will become the first foreign leader to meet Schroeder after his reelection to the post of German chancellor.
