New Party Boss for South China's Guangzhou

Lin Shusen has become secretary of Guangzhou City Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) with the approval of the CPC Central Committee.

Lin Shusen has become secretary of Guangzhou City Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) with the approval of the CPC Central Committee.

The decision was announced Thursday morning at a meeting of the Standing Committee of Guangzhou City Committee of CPC.

According to the decision, Lin, who is currently mayor of Guangzhou, has also become a member of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPC.

Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong Province, is one of the most important transportation centers in south China and a major gate to the outside world.
