Reflections on Terror Attacks in Bali
The nasty explosion in Indonesia's Bali Island is a premeditated heinous crime by the accursed terrorists. It makes clear to people that terrorism as a scourge has spread fast to plague the world and befall our life day by day.
The nasty explosion in Indonesia's Bali Island is a premeditated heinous crime by the accursed terrorists. It makes clear to people that terrorism as a scourge has spread fast to plague the world and befall our life day by day.
The Bali blast shows that hundreds of innocent deaths land one country or several countries' global "anti-terror system" in a situation just the opposite of what has been expected.
Terrorism must be eradicated, but anti-terrorism should in no way be magnified.
Still, when anti-terrorism is wrongly directed in the way many innocents are involved bringing hatred, religious conflicts and hostility between countries and, in passing, attacks on dissidents with too many bad effects created, such anti-terrorism will surely be heaped under questions and doubts by people.
The "9.11" incident has not only brought great losses to the US, it has also exposed the brutality and savagery of terrorists to public.
Governments of many countries and people have realized the menace and danger of terrorism.
"The first lesson in the new millennium" should be a good "dose of medication" for all human beings to do some deep reflection on anti-terrorism and face the new century rationally.
However, under the exaggeration of US leaders and state heads of some other countries, anti-terrorism has become a term of fashion on the lips of many politicians. Though some politicians' super-unilateral attire has shown all its frightening color, it will not stop the spread of terrorism.
One year after the "9.11" attack on the US, "Bushism" traditional partners are moving away from it on Iraq issue, but their manner of "if I can not do it, who can?" is still on the rise.
"The anti-terror alliance" has already fallen into a vicious circle of "evil axle" and "new security menace".
They should conduct serious reflection on their guided anti-terrorism actions for the sake of global security and long-term interests of their own.
Chinese leaders have many times made their attitude clear to the world people that anti-terrorism is a common task of the whole world, it could not be solved easily or at one stroke.
China also stressed that peace and development are the mainstream of the world. Getting a clear understanding of this mainstream will help deal with the problem of anti-terrorism, the threat of terrorism will be gone if it is properly handled.
