Anhui Province Appoints Acting Governor
The standing committee of the ninth People's Congress of east China's Anhui Province Monday has accepted the resignation of Governor Xu Zhonglin and appointed Wang Jinshan as the province's vice-governor and acting governor.
The standing committee of the ninth People's Congress of east China's Anhui Province Monday has accepted the resignation of Governor Xu Zhonglin and appointed Wang Jinshan as the province's vice-governor and acting governor.
Wang was previously secretary of the Party group of the All-China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives.
Wang spoke after the vote, expressing his appreciation for the trust given by the standing committee and noting that he would follow the leadership of the provincial Party committee.
He said he would exert his administrative powers in line with the country's laws and lead the province's officials and people incarrying forward economic construction and cultural progress with a down-to-earth work attitude.
