US Asks Turkey's Permission for Troop Deployment

The United States, which is likely to launch an attack on Iraq in December after the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, will continue to deploy soldiers in the region.
The Pentagon also asked the Turkish General Staff for permissionto use Turkish bases, including the Incirlik Air Base in southern Adana province, the Diyarbakir and Malatya airports in southeasternTurkey.
