Pakistan has so far seized nearly 422 al-Qaeda members who entered the country from across the western border, Pakistani government said on Monday.
Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Moinuddin Haider said at a radio programme most of those were apprehended while attempting to make an illegal entry from across the Afghan border.
He added that others were arrested in raids in different parts of the country when managing to slip in along the tribal area thatrun along the Durand Line.
The minister also said the country's armed forces and law enforcement were keeping close eyes on Pak-Afghanistan border to prevent any illegal entry from across.
"Most of those who tried to sneak in have been nabbed," he said.
