China will put into effect a provisional regulation which guides investigations into foreign trade barriers on Nov. 1, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation said in Beijing on Monday.

While dealing with foreign economic and trade relations in recent years, China has come up against all kinds of trade barriers which have severely restricted the country's exports and investment, ministry sources said.

Having studied investigative systems in the United States and European countries, China drew up the temporary provisions for examining foreign trade barriers.

Aiming to safeguard the interests of Chinese industries, the regulation covers the whole process from application and inquiry to final judgment, and gives domestic enterprises the right to seek a probe into foreign trade and investment barriers.
