China beat Thailand 3-0 in the group stage of the women's volleyball preliminaries at the Asian Games Sunday.
The Chinese team won the encounter 25-17, 25-20 and 25-17.
Chinese head coach Chen Zhonghe fielded all the first-string players in the match and said he was quite satisfied with his team's performance.
"The players played in a relaxed manner since they know they can win," he said, "our services are quite good but blocks and defense are relatively poor."
Chen listed Japan and South Korea as strong challengers to China, which defented Kazakhstan and Chinese Taipei 3-0 on Thursday and Friday respectively.
