China beat South Korea 3-0 to take the men's team gold in the Asian Games table tennis tournament Saturday in Ulsan.
World No. 2 Ma Lin opened China's assault with a 11-7, 9-11, 11-8, 11-4 victory over the world 16th-ranked Kim Taek-soo, arguably the fittest attacker in the world.
Olympic champion and world No. 6
Kong Linghui
came from two sets down to outlast 15th-ranked Ryu Seung-min 7-11, 5-11, 11-9, 11-2, 11-5 and put the Chinese 2-0 ahead.
World top-ranked and reigning world champion
Wang Liqin
wrapped up the Chinese victory, beating 17th-ranked Oh Sang-eun 11-1, 6-11,9-11, 11-8, 12-10.
DPR Korea won the women's team title on Friday, triumphing 3-1 over 13-time world champions China led by world top ranked
Wang Nan
and Zhang Yining.
