Chinese Olympic champions Li Xiaopeng and Huang Xu shared the gold medal in men's gymnastics parallel bars on Saturday, the final day of five-day gymnastics competitions at the 14th Asian Games, bringing China's gold tally to nine.

Li Xiaopeng, the fifth to compete, gripped the highest of 9.800 point to take the gold, while compatriot Huang Xu equalled him with the same score to share with the gold.

He said:"I have expected the result, as I have the power to snatch the gold on the parallel bars."

Li Xiaopeng was also the champion of the men's vault that decided before the parallel bars.

South Korea's Kim Seung-il, floor champion of the Asiad, scored9.750 to take the bronze medal, while compatriot veteran Kim Dong-hwa, who shared the rings title with Huang Xu, was the sixth place after posting 9.625.
