China Takes Women's Beach Volleyball Gold
Chinese Tian Jia and Wang Fei, ranked 10th in the world, beat their compatriots Wang Lu and You Wenhui 2-0 to win the gold in the women's beach volleyball final at the Asian Games here on Friday.

The bronze went to Japanese Tokuno Ryoko and Kusuhara Chiaki who defeated Thai Kulna Kamoltip and Sannok Jarunee 2-0.
The final began with Tian Jia and Wang Fei leading before Wang Lu and You Wenhui took a short-lived come-back at 13-12. But TianJia and Wang Fei fought back and never turned back. The score was finally set at 21-17 to Tian and Wang's favor.
In the second round, both sides managed rallies till they tied at 8-8. But a series of serving and attacking errors from Wang Lu and You Wenhui finally widened their gap with Tian Jia and Wang Fei whose powerful jumping-serving and successful blockings proveddeadly to their rivals. Tian and Wang won the set 21-13.
Earlier, Japanese Shiratori Katsuhiro and Watanabe Satoshi scored a straight-set victory over Indonesia Salim Agus and Darkuncoro Koko Prasetyo 2-0 in the men's beach volleyball final.
Chinese Li Hua and Zhao Chicheng took the men's third place.
Sixteen teams from eleven Asian countries and regions were involved in the Asiad beach volleyball tournament which started from September 29.
