China's Changchun Wins 2007 Asiad Winter Games

Changchun, a provincial capital, northeast of China, won the bidding campaign over Beirut of Lebanon on Thursday to host the 2007 Winter Asian Games.

Changchun, a provincial capital, northeast of China, won the bidding campaign over Beirut of Lebanon on Thursday to host the 2007 Winter Asian Games.

The decision was made at today's general assembly of the Olympics Council of Asia, the regional sports governing body.

Beirut will host the 2009 Winter Asian Games.
