Fifteen-year-old Chinese Wins Men's 200m Butterfly Gold at Asiad

Fifteen-year-old Wu Peng of China upset Asian record holder Takashi Yamamoto of Japan to take the gold medal of the men's 200m butterfly at the 14th Asian Games Tuesday.

Fifteen-year-old Wu Peng of China upset Asian record holder Takashi Yamamoto of Japan to take the gold medal of the men's 200m butterfly at the 14th Asian Games Tuesday.

Wu Peng was timed at 1:56.63 for the gold medal. Yamamoto finished second at 1:57.18, followed by another Japanese Takeshi Matsuda in the third place at 1:57.26.

In the men's 200m freestyle event earlier today, Chinese Liu Yugave an outstanding performance, touching the pad first beyond expectations.

Both guys met similar situations that the winner could not be decided until the last second. ??He led the first lap but was overhauled by Yamamoto at the turn,but he finally succeeded by a powerful splash and broke the listed games record of 1:56.75 for the win.
