Chinese beach volleyballers recorded all-win results Sunday when both the women and men's teams beat their respective opponents on the opening day of the beach volleyball tournament at the Asian Games.

The Chinese men's defending champions Li Hua and Zhao Chicheng fought a hard battle before they overpowered Kuwait's Al Abdulqader Dawood and Almuzail Adel 21-11, 16-21, 15-8.
Later in the day, Li and Zhao scored another victory by beatingBahrain's Sadeq Ebrahim H. Al Mohsen and Ali Abdulameer Ahmed Mubarak in straight sets, 21-18, 21-18.
Teng Maomin and Xu Qiang, the other Chinese men's duo, became winners after their rivals from India gave up the match.
On the women's court, China's Wang Lu and You Wenhui outscored South Korea's Mi Soon-lee and Kyung Hee-ji, 21-13, 21-18.
Sixteen teams from 11 Asian countries and regions compete in the beach volleyball tournament which is due to close on Oct. 4.
