West Beijing Light Rail Welcomes First Batch of Passengers

Beijing's western city-rail with nine stations linking up Xizhimen and Huoying is ready to welcome their first batch of passengers at 15:00, September 28.

Beijing's western city-rail with nine stations linking up Xizhimen and Huoying is ready to welcome their first batch of passengers at 15:00, September 28.

A special program jointly made by the central and Beijing televisions broadcast the opening ceremony in the morning, under the title of "New railway, New life" is scheduled at 12:50 of the day.

During the trial operation period, as reported, the line will see 142 departs with 8 pairs of trains put into operation every day, with an expected interval of 10 minutes at minimum and 17 minutes at maximum. The full running time is twenty-nine minutes and a half. The daily operation timetable shows the first depart from Xizhimen at 6:32 and the last at 21:00, as well as the first depart from Huoying at 6:00 and the last at 20:28.
