The inaugural Asian women's junior basketball championship will be held here from October 28 to November 3, organizers said Tuesday in Shijiazhuang.
The championship, the first-ever world-class sports event in Shijiazhuang, will feature 11 countries and regions in two round-robin groups, with top two teams of each group advancing to the semifinals.
Winners and the second-place finishers of the tournament will represent Asia for the world women's junior basketball championship next year.
