Busan Asian Games' Athlete Village to Open on Sept. 23
The 14th Asian Games' athlete's village boasting 20 buildings which can accomodate up to14,000 persons will be open in South Korean port city of Busan on Monday and swing into full operations, the Games's organizing committee said Monday.

The opening ceremony will be attended by approximately 1,000 people including South Korean Culture and Tourism Minister Kim Seong-jae, Chairman of Busan Asian Games Organizing Committee Chung Soon-taek and host city mayor Ahn Sang-young.
Indonesia has become the first foreign nation among 44 participating countries and regions for the Busan Asiad to send athletes to settle down in the village. First 26 Indonesian athletes and delegates arrived in the village on September 17.
Besides Indonesia, one delegate of South Korea and two delegates from Iran and Vietnam have also settled in the village.
The Busan Asian Games will be held on September 29-October 14.
All the facilities in the athlete's village will operate 24 hours a day, which include hospital, bank, laundry and dry cleaning service, equipment repair center, radio station, shoppingcenter, barber shop, beauty salon, cafe, discotheque, karaoke bar,games room, internet service room and video viewing room.
The village's main cafeteria can accomodate 3,000 persons at once and is capable of providing meals to all venues.
Additionally, the athlete's village will be the site for a various cultural events and the programs to enhance harmony and friendship among the Asians.
Starting from September 28, there will be a total of 13 concerts scheduled during the Asian Games, at least one per day inthe village's stage.
Moreover, there will be three parades showing the traditional Korean King's march, traditional wedding ceremony and Korean traditional costumes show. Exhibitions, movies and other events also also scheduled.
