Senior CPC Leader on Democratic Management in Non-state-owned Firms

Senior CPC leader Wei Jianxing has called for efforts to promote democratic management of non-state-owned firms in order to protect the legitimate interests and rights of their employees.

Senior CPC leader Wei Jianxing has called for efforts to promote democratic management of non-state-owned firms in order to protect the legitimate interests and rights of their employees.

He made the remarks during his September 17 to 19 inspection tour of non-state-owned enterprises in Hebei province, north China.

Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, said democratic management of the non-state sector would help establish a stable and harmonious relationship between employees and employers.

Also the chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Wei stressed the need for non-state-owned firms to listen to the opinions and demands of their employees, and explore and establish mechanisms for employees to participate in the democratic management of their enterprises.

Non-state-owned firms were also encouraged to create conditions for their employees to be well-informed about matters concerning their enterprises, and participate in consultations with their employers.
