Chinese Premier leaves Beijing for Europe

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji left Beijing for Europe Thursday afternoon to pay official visits to Austria, Denmark and France and to attend the Fourth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit and the Fifth EU-China Summit in Denmark.

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji left Beijing for Europe Thursday afternoon to pay official visits to Austria, Denmark and France and to attend the Fourth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit and the Fifth EU-China Summit in Denmark.

The Premier is visiting at the invitation of Austrian Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel, Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, French President Jacques Chirac and French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin.
