Chinese Media Launch New Programs to Welcome 16th CPC
Starting from Sunday, major Chinese media organizations including China National Radio, China Central Television Station and China Radio International will launch a series of programs to welcome the upcoming 16th CPC National Congress. The congress will be held in Beijing on November 8.

The programs will be shown during prime time, focusing on achievements China has made under the leadership of the Communist Party of China in the past 20 years. It will also delve into the Party's innovations in the field of better governance and Party building, and the role played by Deng Xiaoping as well as the 'three represents' theory put forward by president Jiang Zemin.
Meanwhile, a series of new films and TV dramas will also be broadcast to mark the event.
The 16th CPC National Congress is the first Party congress of the new century, and will be held at a time when China enters a new stage of development regarding the lives of its people and its socialist modernization drive.
