Food Poisoning Causes a Number of Deaths

A number of people died of food poisoning Saturday in east China's Jiangsu Province. At press time,over 200 people are suffering from poisoning and being treated.

A number of people died of food poisoning Saturday in east China's Jiangsu Province. At press time,over 200 people are suffering from poisoning and being treated.

The incident happened in Tangshan Township of Jiangning District, Nanjing City. Students from a local middle school and workers on a construction site suffered from poisoning after eating fried dough sticks, sesame cakes and glutinous rice on Saturday morning.

The provincial and municipal governments paid high attention tothe incident and ordered that all necessary forces and facilities be mobilized to save every life at any cost. The victims are beingtreated with the best possible doctors, equipment and medicines inlocal hospitals.

The incident is still under investigation.
