The Chinese State Planning Commission and Motorola Electronics have joined in training 3,109 essential cadres for 927 state-owned enterprises in China, since they extended cooperation five years ago.
The training project, established in April 1997, has offered training on enterprise management, strategic management, finance management and personnel administration to managers and technicians of Chinese enterprises.
An official in charge of the project noted that it has also given preferential support to enterprises in western China, and 1,052 cadres from 351 enterprises from western China had received training, accounting for one third of the total trainees.
Officials from both the State Planning Commission and Motorola praised the project, which will continue in 2003.
