China to Host First Million-dollar Golf Tournament
The inaugural TCL Classic one-million dollars golf touranment, the first and biggest in China, will be held in its southern city of Dongguan, Guangdong province with the participation of two top players from the world.

John Daly and Colin Montgomerie will tee-off at the Harbour Plaza Golf Club from November 14-17 in the tournament where hosts China will field in 12 players, including its top golf player Zhang Liangwei.
Daly shot to prominence in 1991 when he won the US PGA Championships, and triumphed for the second time in 1995 at the British Open, while Montgomerie is the only player to win the European Tour Order of Merit title seven times.
Cui Zhiqiang, secretary-general of the Chinese Golf Association,said the Classic, the biggest ever in China, will provide the great chances for the Chinese players in an international meet andwill surely promote the sport in the country eventually.
