No Denial of History of Japan's War Crimes in China

Tokyo Court on August 28 gave its ridiculous ruling acknowledging Japanese 7.31 Unit's germ warfare in China but turning down all claims for compensation for the victimized and the relevant responsibilities Japan should take.

PRINT DISCUSSION CHINESE SEND TO FRIEND

Tokyo Court on August 28 gave its ridiculous ruling acknowledging Japanese 7.31 Unit's germ warfare in China but turning down all claims for compensation for the victimized and the relevant responsibilities Japan should take.

It is hard to understand for any people with conscience and justice that Tokyo Court in the name of law should deny Japan of its war responsibilities for all past shocking crimes it had committed against other peoples.

A cold fact is that there is today's Japan that can brave it out in spite of all possible towering atrocities this country had committed against China and other Asian peoples. To this aggressor country, till this day, things are sure to make no difference with its past germ warfare and frenetic conscription of "comfort women" for sex in China and other Asian countries. So people should be in no surprise to say you would get nowhere by your future lawsuits at this country's court.

Since the 1990s, World War II victims of China and South Korea had filed lawsuits at Japanese courts, demanding for compensation. Under media pressure, Japanese courts had willy-nilly accepted lawsuits from the country's victims but by learning to take their time they always prolonged the cases even to a time until many old victims had passed away.

Refusing to admit history and war crimes by Japanese government and judiciary departments had been boomeranged against this country. The Japanese people and sources with conscience also expressed strong resentment.

If we could find some "flash" in Tokyo Court's ruling it admits ever for the first time Japan's invasion of China.

Although 7.31 Unit's germ warfare in China is a known fact the Japanese government had denied it all the time.

In the court, Chinese plaintiffs and Japan's former 7.31 Unit's soldiers have by their personal experience testified to the germ warfare they had carried out.

Facts could not be obliterated, flying in the face of Japanese rightist wingers long in a vain attempt to adulterate the past history.

Tokyo Court's ruling keeps undoubtedly a reminder to people of past war history in which aggressor Japan's monstrous crimes committed in China and other Asian countries could never be denied.

People should call on the Japanese government to take their historical responsibility, properly solve all war problems and give victims dignity and justice.
