A book on Chinese President Jiang Zemin's theory on socialism with Chinese characteristics has been published by the Party Literature Research Center of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
The book will be issued nationwide to greet the 16th National Congress of CPC to be convened in Beijing as of Nov. 8 this year.
The 25-chapter book covers aspects of economics, politics, culture, military, foreign affairs and Party construction, all taken from Jiang's more than 370 important speeches, articles, letters and instructions since June 1989.
The 560,000-word book covers Jiang's remarks in the period following the Fourth Plenum of 13th CPC Central Committee. It shows how socialism has developed in China as it deepened its reforms and opening up.
The book includes issues affecting agriculture and farmers, the reform of state-owned enterprises, educational priorities, sustainable development, rule by law, transparent government and peaceful reunification. A number of the remarks are printed for the first time, sources from the research center said.
