DPRK leader Kim Jong Il arrived by train in Khabarovsk Thursday morning, the second stop of a four-day tour of the Russian Far East.
Kim, who spent a day at Komsomolsk-on-Amur on Wednesday, plans to visit a pharmaceutical plant, a cables and wires factory during his stay in Khabarovsk, the largest city in Russia's Far Eastern region.
The North Korean leader, accompanied by Kim Young Chun, chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army, also plans to visit an army unit of the Russian Far Eastern Military District in Volochayevsk, a small town 10 minutes away the center of Khabarovsk.
On Wednesday, Kim toured the riverside town of Komsomolsk-on-Amur and invited 100 Russian children to take a vacation in DPRK.
