Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda stressed Saturday in Jakata that President Megawati Soekarnoputri has not taken any contact with Taiwan's "Vice President" Annette Lu after Lu's arrival from Bali on Saturday afternoon.
"Lu's two-day stay in Jakarta was only held privately, and it was not concerted by the Indonesian government," Wirajuda reaffirmed to a group of newsmen, after attending the 57th ceremonial of Indonesian Independent Day at the State Palace.
"I guarantee that there will not be any official contacts with the Indonesian high state officials and especially President Megawati," he said, referring to the Indonesia's stance of "One China" policy.
Wirajuda stressed that the greeting of Lu's arrival in the airport here yesterday, was not taken officially.
Lu was welcomed by two former state officials who are also high politicians of Gokar, the second biggest political party of Indonesia.
Lu Hsiu Lien was scheduled to leave for Australia at the end of her three-day stay in Bali, but suddenly changed her plan and returned back to Jakarta on Friday afternoon. The Australian authority has reportedly rejected her entrance though she intends to pay a visit under the pretext of "physical examination."
