99 Parties Deposit Documents with Election Commission of Pakistan

There are 99 political parties that have submitted their documents before the Election Commissionof Pakistan so far to fulfil the requirements for contesting the Oct. 10 general elections.

There are 99 political parties that have submitted their documents before the Election Commissionof Pakistan so far to fulfil the requirements for contesting the Oct. 10 general elections.

This was stated by Chief Election Commissioner Irshad Hassan Khan while addressing the press here on Monday.

Irshad Hassan Khan said under Political Parties Order 2002 the political parties are required to submit the printed copies of their constitutions and details regarding intra-party elections tothe Election Commission by Aug. 12.

He said these documents are under the process of scrutiny by the Election Commission and after completing the scrutiny all the political parties will be intimated.

General elections to the National Assembly (lower hosue), Senate (upper house) and four provincial assemblies will be held simultaneously in Pakistan on Oct. 10.
