DPRK Delegates to Take Inter-Korean Air Route to S.Korea
The delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the upcoming inter-Korean ministerial talks will arrive here via direct air route, said South Korean Unification Minister Jeong Se-hyun on Thursday.

"The DPRK delegation will depart Sunan Airport in Pyongyang at 9 a.m. Aug. 12 and fly via the inter-Korean direct air route over the Yellow Sea to arrive at Incheon International Airport of SouthKorea at 10 a.m.," the minister was quoted as saying by the national news agency Yonhap News.
Originally, the delegation was expected to arrive in South Korea via Beijing, China, said Yonhap.
The delegation was scheduled to return to Pyongyang on Aug. 14 aboard the same plane, which will also bring a 110-member DPRK civic delegation to Seoul the second day for joint celebrations onAug. 15 Liberation Day, said Jeong.
"It is unusual for a DPRK delegation to inter-Korean negotiations to use a direct air route and it may be a hint of success of the talks," added the minister.
The seventh inter-Korean ministerial talks will be held from Aug.12 to Aug. 14 in Seoul, which will cover a wide range of issues, such as starting second inter-Korean economic talks and the reunion of family members separated by the Korean War (1950-1953).
