Israeli Army Reoccupies Northern Gaza
Dozens of tanks, armored vehicles and bulldozers rolled into the village of Beit Lahya in northern Gaza Strip after midnight Tuesday, Palestinian eyewitnesses said.
Dozens of tanks, armored vehicles and bulldozers rolled into the village of Beit Lahya in northern Gaza Strip after midnight Tuesday, Palestinian eyewitnesses said.
They said that infantry troops and tanks entered the village from its eastern entrance, and stationed in Al Mansheya neighborhood in the village.
Local residents said that they could hear gunshots, adding thatexchange of fire was taking place between the soldiers and the Palestinian public security officers stationed in the area. No injuries were reported.
Palestinian security officials said that the Israeli army reinforcement in northern Gaza Strip is apparently a preparation to enter into the Palestinian-controlled area of northern Gaza Strip and reoccupy it.
