Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Claims 606 Israeli Lives: Radio

The 22-month violent conflict between Israel and the Palestinians has left 606 Israelis dead and some 4,000 others wounded, Israel Radio reported on Monday.

The 22-month violent conflict between Israel and the Palestinians has left 606 Israelis dead and some 4,000 others wounded, Israel Radio reported on Monday.

Suicide bombings, bus bombings and shootings carried out by Palestinian radical groups, such as Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and Islamic Jihad (Holy War), have brought huge menace to the security of Israelis.

In the past week, at least 20 people were killed in a wave of Palestinian attacks.

Some reports said at least 1,500 Palestinians were killed in theviolent conflict which erupted in late September 2000.
