S. Korean National Assembly Rejects Kim's Nomination of Prime Minister

The National Assembly of South Korea on Wednesday vetoed President Kim Dae-jung's nomination of former Ewha Womans University President Chang Sang as prime minister, according to a Yonhap new report Wednesday.

The National Assembly of South Korea on Wednesday vetoed President Kim Dae-jung's nomination of former Ewha Womans University President Chang Sang as prime minister, according to a Yonhap new report Wednesday.

Chang, 63, who would have been the nation's first woman premier, was rejected in a 100-142 vote after a bruising two-day confirmation hearing.
