Main Body of Highest Plateau Railway Bridge Completed
Construction of the main body of the tallest railway bridge on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was completed Wednesday.

Plateau was completed Wednesday.
The Sanchahe Bridge, part of the on-going Qinghai-Tibet Railwayproject, is located in Golmud, Qinghai Province.
The bridge is 690.19 meters in length, 85.6 m at its highest point, and has 20 pillars. The worksite is at an altitude of 3,800m.
Construction of the bridge was started on August 22, 2001, and has been hampered by bad weather and technical difficulties.
