Musharraf Reiterates Commitment to Fight Terrorism

President General Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday reiterated Pakistan's firm commitment to fight international terrorism and to play a leading role in bringing peace to the region.

President General Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday reiterated Pakistan's firm commitment to fight international terrorism and to play a leading role in bringing peace to the region.

Musharraf made the pledge while receiving visiting Sri Lankan Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayak here.

On bilateral relations, Musharraf assured the visiting dignitary of Pakistan's consistent help to Sri Lanka in bilateral trade and commercial activities.

Ravi said that his country was eagerly waiting for President Musharraf's visit.

The two sides discussed matters pertaining to mutual cooperation and strengthening bilateral relations. Both sides agreed to work together for evolving a joint strategy for mutual trade based on Free Trade Access (FTA).

Ravi Karunanayak arrived here on Wednesday morning on a 2-day official visit to give final touches to the Free Trade Agreement between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
