Thirty bodies had been found by 11:00 a.m. Monday from the site of a coal mine explosion in northeast China's Jilin Province.

A gas blast which occurred on July 4 at the Fuqiang Coal Mine in Jiangyuan County left 39 miners trapped underground.

Zhang Wanyin, a local official, said the 30 bodies had been cremated and the miners' family would receive compensation from the mine owner.

More than 100 rescuers in four teams are still working in shifts around the clock to recover the remaining missing miners.
