China, Malaysia Share Identical Views on Int'l Issues: NPC Leader

Visiting Chinese legislative leader Jiang Chunyun said Tuesday in Singapore that China and Malaysia share identical views on many major international and regional issues.

Visiting Chinese legislative leader Jiang Chunyun said Tuesday in Singapore that China and Malaysia share identical views on many major international and regional issues.

Jiang, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, made the remarks when meeting Speaker of Malaysian House of Representatives Mohamed Zahir Ismailand President of the Senate Michael Chen Wing Sum.

As both are developing countries, China and Malaysia have supported each other and cooperated well in international affairs,thus playing a significant role in the international arena, said Jiang who arrived here Monday evening for a five-day visit.

While speaking highly of the bilateral relations, Jiang expressed hope that China's NPC and the Malaysian parliament will continue to enhance exchange of visits and mutual cooperation in various fields.

Jiang and his party were feted in an official dinner hosted by Mohamed Zahir Tuesday evening.
