China Sees Increase in Foreign Investment in First Six Months
China saw a rapid increase in foreign investment for the first half of this year, with a total of 15,155 foreign-funded enterprises set up by the end of June, a rise of 26.39 percent over the same period last year.

Statistics from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation show that contracted foreign investment totaled 43.99 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 31.47 percent over the corresponding time last year. Actual foreign investment was 24.58 billion U.S. dollars, or 18.69 percent higher than last year.
By the end of this June, China had 405,180 foreign-funded companies, with total contracted foreign funds of 789.28 billion U.S. dollars, and funds in use totaling 419.8 billion U.S. dollars.
