European Parliamentary Delegation Starts Visit to Tibet

A 21-member European Parliamentary delegation for relations with China, headed by Elly Plooij-Van Gorsel, arrived in Lhasa Tuesday for a six-day visit to the Tibet Autonomous Region.

A 21-member European Parliamentary delegation for relations with China, headed by Elly Plooij-Van Gorsel, arrived in Lhasa Tuesday for a six-day visit to the Tibet Autonomous Region.

This is the first time for a European Parliamentary delegation to visit the autonomous region.

During their stay in Tibet, apart from visiting some monasteries and scenic spots, the delegation will review a project financed by the European Union.
