Lebanese resistance guerrilla group Hezbollah, or Party of God, Sunday fired at incursive Israeli warplanes, the official NNA news agency reported.
Hezbollah's anti-aircraft unit in southern Lebanon launched the attack, without any hitting of the targets, while Israeli warplanesoverflew Lebanon and broke sound barriers over the capital of Beirut, southern port cities of Sidon and Tyre as well as Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon.
Since October 2000, Israeli planes have frequently overflown Lebanon while the United Nations has urged the Jewish state to stopits infringement of the Blue Line demarcated by the U.N. to authenticate Israel's withdrawal from south Lebanon in May 2000.
Israel has alleged that the shrapnel of the missiles launched byHezbollah would fall on northern Israeli settlements. But Hezbollahstressed that the guerrilla group has the right to attack any aggression by any means.
