Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said on Thursday that he had reached a secret agreement with the United States concerning a political plan towards Mideast peace, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said on Thursday that he had reached a secret agreement with the United States concerning a political plan towards Mideast peace, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Speaking at an annual economic conference in Jerusalem, the prime minister said that the plan would "give new hope for a peace agreement in the Middle East" although the plan did not mean the end of strife in the region.
Sharon added that he was planning to consult with Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and Defense Minister Binyamin Ben Eliezer to work out the details of the plan, said the report.
Sharon also said that following new U.S. Mideast peace vision issued on June 24, the Palestinians must make final choice between "terror" and peace.
