Most on Board Crashed Russian Tu-154 Were Children

Most passengers aboard a Russian Tupolev 154 plane that collided with a cargo plane over Germany were children, an official at Moscow's Domodedovo airport, from which the plane departed, said on Tuesday.

Most passengers aboard a Russian Tupolev 154 plane that collided with a cargo plane over Germany were children, an official at Moscow's Domodedovo airport, from which the plane departed, said on Tuesday.

"There were 12 crew and 57 passengers on board. Among the passengers there were 8 adults and the rest were children," an official manning a hotline established at Domodedovo after the crash said.

It was feared there were no survivors after the mid-air collision over Lake Constance on the Swiss-German border.
