Over 100 Killed by US Bombing in Central Afghanistan: AIP
More than 100 people were killed and around 300 were injured late Sunday night while U.S. warplanesbombed Dehrawad town in Afghanistan's central Arzgan province, according to the Peshawar-based Afghan Islamic Press (AIP) on Monday.

A wedding ceremony was going on when the U.S. warplanes startedbombing on people, said the AIP, adding that most of the victims were women.
According to the private news agency, Dehrawad town is the hometown of Taliban leader Mullah Omar. The U.S.-led coalition troops launched an operation in this area days ago to search out the most-wanted Taliban leader.
