Motorola will continue to expand its market share in China, with this year's sales of automobile- related and standard electronics predicted to rise by 25 percent over last year, the company said Friday.
Last year saw booming sales of Motorola products in China amid the global downturn in the electronics market, and Motorola remained confident of China's market potential, sources in the company said.
Over the past ten years, China has built a second largest expressway network in the world. Total investment in highway construction exceeded 200 million yuan (24 million US dollars) in China last year, when two million automobiles were sold.
Huang Jianxiong, deputy manager of Motorola, said that people's increasingly high requirements for comfort, safety and entertainment in automobiles meant electronics related to automobiles had a big market.
