U.S. Youth Symphony Orchestra Performs in Beijing

The U.S. Maryland Youth Symphony Orchestra gave a performance here Thursday, staging world's musical masterpieces for the Chinese audience.

The U.S. Maryland Youth Symphony Orchestra gave a performance here Thursday, staging world's musical masterpieces for the Chinese audience.

The recitals included La Gazza Ladara Overture (The Thieving Magpie) by Rossini, and the Carmen Suite No.1 by Bizet.

The troupe also performed The Sound of Music by Richard Rodgersand West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein.

The troupe has been invited to tour many countries and regions,including Britain, France, Italy, Australia, Japan and Taiwan.
