Sautin Defeats China Duo, Guo Wins 1m Springboard
Olympic champion Dimitry Sautin knocked off strong challenges from two Chinese by winning the men's 3 meter springboard while Chinese Guo Jingjing took an easy victory in the women's 1m springboard at the FINA Diving World Cup in Seville, Spain on Wednesday.

Sautin, 10m platform winner at the 1996 Olympic Games, claimed the 3m springboard title with 519.06 points, edging Chinese Peng Bo to second in 517.47 points. Wang Tianling went to third in 508.32 points.
Guo, current diving diva in China since three-time Olympic champion Fu Mingxia retired after the Sydney Olympic Games, scored 312.84 points for the 1m springboard title.
Russian veteran Irina Lashko and German Heike Fischer came to silver and bronze medals, respectively.
The men's 3m synchronized springboard and women's 10m synchronized platform will be decided on Thursday while women's 3m springboard preliminary will take place.
