Chinese Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Shi Guangsheng arrived in Ulan Bator on Wednesday at the start of a three-day official visit to Mongolia aimed at boosting bilateral economic ties.
The visit here is the first by a Chinese foreign trade minister since the relations between the two neighbors were back on the normal track in 1989.
Shi will meet Mongolian Minister of Industry and Trade Chimiddorjiin Ganzorig for talks on ways of expanding bilateral trade and economic ties and cooperation.
During his visit, the Chinese minister will also call on Mongolian Premier Nambaryn Enkhbayar and parliamentary leaders, and attend a foundation-stone-laying ceremony for a Chinese-aided housing project.
