Chinese and Russian police agreed Wednesday in Harbin to jointly crack down on drug-related crimes.
The two sides will regularly exchange information, cooperate in pursuing and arresting suspects, and in sharing information about suspects and drugs.
Motivated by staggering profits, some drug dealers sell drugs along the Sino-Russian border. Russian drug smugglers also try to sell drugs within China via Heilongjiang Province which borders Russia. The Russian dealers' Chinese confederates also smuggle drugs into Russia.
