Anti-U.S. Meetings Held in DPRK
Indignation meetings of unionists, young people and students were held at the open-air theatre in youth park in Pyongyang on June 23 on the occasion of "June 25, day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists."
Indignation meetings of unionists across DPRK and young people and students in Pyongyang were held at Pamnamu-gol, Wonam-ri, Sinchon county, South Hwanghae Province, and at the open-air theatre in youth park in Pyongyang on June 23 on the occasion of "June 25, day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists."
Ryom Sun Gil, chairman of the central committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, and Kim Kyong Ho, first secretary of the central committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, made a speech and a report which were followed by speeches.
They said that the u.s. imperialists ignited a war on June 25, 1950 and cruelly killed more than 35,000 citizens, or a quarter of the population in Sinchon county of the northern half of Korea and over 1.1 million people in South Korea including Rogun-ri, Yongdong county, North Chungchong Province.
Referring to the recent regrettable death of South Korean middle-school girls by U.S. imperialist aggression troops, they vehemently denounced GIS' murderous atrocities in the name of the working class, unionists and young people and students of Korea.
"The U.S. imperialists are persistently resorting to the hard-line policy to stifle the DPRK, groundlessly designating it as 'part of the axis of evil' and 'terrorism sponsor'", they said, stressing that if the U.S. imperialists ignite a war of aggression in Korea, the Korean people will resolutely punish the aggressors and achieve the historic cause of national reunification.
