All 115 Bodies from Coal Mine Explosion Found

The bodies of all the 115 people killed in the June 20 explosion in a coal mine in northeast China have been retrieved, Huang Yi, spokesman of the state administration for supervision of safety in production, said Monday.

The bodies of all the 115 people killed in the June 20 explosion in a coal mine in northeast China have been retrieved, Huang Yi, spokesman of the state administration for supervision of safety in production, said Monday.

Huang said, 104 of the bodies had been cremated, while four bodies were yet to be identified.

The cause of the accident was still being investigated and it was expected to be known in a week, Huang said.

Production by Jixi Mining Group, which is based in Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, has been halted and was expected to be resumed after an official appraisal, he said.
