Central government officials visited those injured in the June 20 coal mine explosion in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, on Sunday.
The officials are members of a State Council team sent to Jixi City, Heilongjiang, to investigate the cause of the accident that claimed 115 lives. The team is headed by Ou Xinqian, vice-ministerof the State Economic and Trade Commission.
The team visited the general hospital of the mining group, where 15 miners with serious injuries are hospitalized. Two of them are still in a coma.
Provincial leaders including Governor Song Fatang accompanied the team during the visit.
They also visited the family of Zhao Wenlin, general manager ofthe Jixi Mining Group, who was also killed in the explosion, whichoccurred when Zhao was making an inspection tour underground at the Chengzihe Coal Mine. Of the 115 people killed in the accident officials accounted for more than 20 percent.
